| I prayed last night for a good job. I put my job search into God's hands. I felt like I've had a productive past two weeks, and I know it takes time to find a great job; but I felt like I wasn't going to have a good opportunity again like the job offer with Save-A-Lot. It pays well; the people are great; the organization is great; the perks are great; but it's really far from my house - well, an hour drive.
My parents, close friends, other family - they think it's a great offer, and I might have to accept it on Monday. However, Jon hates it. He detests it. He thinks I'm lazy and that I'm giving up. Am I? I really wish he could be happy for me, but he thinks I'm taking the easy way out and will be miserable. I love him so much, but I'm happy with the job while he's not.
A lot of people drive an hour to their job. I just don't know anymore. How can he be so angry at me? Well, I know why he is - he has tons of reasons why it's bad . . . maybe i should make a pro/con list.
Pros: Good pay Great experience Great perks: cafeteria, gym, dry cleaning, 25% of groceries Good people and organizational values
Cons: Commute to work (an hour there) Gas mileage Car depreciation Possibility of finding something better
Well, I'll know more on Monday after I meet with the recruiter and the Save-A-Lot people. . .

| I am looking forward to moving into our new pod in College Ave. I
look forward to seeing Jana (my new room mate), Justine, Christy,
Kristin, Alyssa, Stephanie, and Laura (2nd semester). I can't
wait to get settled in and everything in its suitable place. I
truly love my home away from home - in the dorms at GC.
On the other hand, I will also look forward to Hurricane Harbor on the
weekends. I will miss all my favorite lifeguards who are
leaving/already left. I will especially miss all my favorite
quiet yet cute black tag girls who never complain (ex: stephanie,
laura, nicole) and I'll miss all my cute black tag boys [ex: Eddie
mostly, Wes, Derek, Ben, Matt(s)] Of course I'll miss my fellow
leads. And then of course all my favorite supervisors which
includes all of them especially Jon and Lisa. And I can't forget
the harbor service peeps!
Anyway. So I'll enjoy working at the Flags on the weekends.
I'll definately enjoy working at my 3 different jobs. I hope I
enjoy my classes too. I probably won't enjoy writing my 30 page
paper about Six Flags for my practicum.
